We are looking for full-time Water Treatment Plant Operators. Reporting to the Project Manager, this role is a hands-on, site based role involved with the operation of a newly constructed and commissioned water treatment plant.
Selection criteria:
- Minimum 3+ years' experience a in similar role, preferably including experience in working on automated treatment plants.
- Plumbing/fitting/mechanical/electrical & instrumentation background preferred: especially experience in the maintenance of process equipment, such as water treatment plants, pumps and pipework.
- Experience with multimedia filtration, sludge management, chemical dosing systems and instrument calibrations (pH meter, ORP meter, Turbidity meter etc.).
- Willingness to undertake labour as required to maintain and troubleshoot water treatment plant.
- Understanding of how to operate a plant using PLC and HMI preferred.
- Qualification in Water Industry / Treatment Operations, advantageous but not mandatory.
- Drivers licence, Forklift licence (preferred) and Construction Induction Card
- Should be able to manage to operate the Water Treatment Plant independently
This position will require periods of travel for different projects across Sydney.
