Broadspectrum have a longstanding partnership with the Mornington Peninsula Shire, providing support in Horticulture capacities. We require an experienced Sexton to join the Horticulture team to carry out general cemetery related duties, with an aim to provide quality service delivery whilst meeting the environmental needs on the Mornington Peninsula and the wider community.
Responsibilities
- Grave selection/digging
- Burials/ashes interments
- Memorial plaques installations
- Maintenance of cemetery lowering devices
- Maintenance of lawns and garden
- Ensure works are carried out with minimal disturbance to the environment and disruption to the community
- Delivery of works in a time efficient and safe manner.
- Daily programming of sites including, allocation of tasks and associated equipment
Qualifications and Experience required
- Previous Grave digging experience
- Front-end Loader Certificate;
- Tractor Operation Certificate;
- Grave Safe Training (CCV)
- Skid Steer loader Certificate
- Working at Heights Certificate
- Excavator Certificate
- Confined Space Entry Certificate
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence MR (Medium Rigid);
- Level 2 Work Place First Aid Certification;
- Farm Chemical Users Certification (Agvet);
- Able to work flexible hours
- Working with Children’s Check is desirable.
