Your Role:
Reporting to the General Manager of Benpower, the successful Technician will provide labour in restoration services to different types of properties and buildings that have been damaged by some form of extenuating circumstances; such as fire, water or malicious damage.
Key Duties / Responsibilities:
- Travelling to sites around Sydney
- Using your area of expertise if necessary (Mechanical Engineering, Communications Specialist, Electronics Specialist, Carpentry, Carpet Specialist, Mould Remediation Specialist, Fire Specialist, other related labouring etc.)
- Liaising with internal office staff to complete any designated job to the best of your ability
- Prepare and present damage/inspection and inventory list reports for clients
- Completing all necessary job documentation in a timely manner
- Attending water damage, fire damage, sewerage ingress and mould jobs for domestic, industrial and commercial properties
- Prepare damage/inspection and inventory list reports for insurers
- Restoration of contents items on or off-site or recommending specialist restoration
- Performing all areas of mitigation and restoration works as required, including equipment installation and monitoring
- Other miscellaneous jobs when/if required
- On-call allocation (roster)
Key selection criteria:
- Previous experience in Home & Contents Restoration or Cleaning & Construction labour
- Previous experience in a hands on, physically demanding role
- Strong communication and literacy skills
- Physical fitness (must)
- Flexibility
- Experience and proven efficiency using computers
- Honest, trustworthy and a high level of integrity
- A current Australian driver's license (manual essential)
- The ability to prioritise workloads
- A "hands-on" attitude
- Honesty and a positive attitude
- IICRC Water accreditation highly regarded, but not essential
- Mechanical Engineering, Communications Specialist, Electronics Specialist, Carpentry Cert, Carpet Specialist, Mould Specialist, Fire Specialist and many others - highly regarded but not essential
