United are a highly respected, locally owned commercial Air Conditioning & Mechanical Services company operating within the Darwin and surrounding areas.
United’s reputation has been built on repeat business and word of mouth due to the high quality of United’s workmanship. United specialise in central plant upgrades within fully occupied buildings, new installation of central plant and CHW systems, packaged systems, ductwork and ventilation systems along with split systems.
United are seeking a committed, self-motivated Junior Estimator to join their growing team.
The Junior Estimator’s role is an entry level position within the construction division of United. This role comes with training and mentoring from the Senior Estimator and would suit a tradesperson who is ready to come off the tools and into the office environment. You will be responsible for providing Minor Works estimates, along with assisting the Senior Estimator in delivering quotes and tenders on time. Successful applicants would have the following:
- HVAC construction experience.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines.
- Outstanding time management and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An ability to prioritise required tasks.
- An excellent work ethic.
- The ability to work well in both team and unsupervised environments.
- Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
- Well presented with a friendly approach.
- Ability to achieve a Police clearance.
- A manual open NT driver licence.
- A White Card.
You will receive on the job training to develop skills in:
- Estimating.
- Interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Reviewing scope of works & contracts.
- Be trained in the Company's systems and products.
- Preparation and ongoing management of tender lists and contractor contact details.
- Preparation of Quote folders, Job Folders.
- Preparation of quote break downs and costs.
Previous experience quoting works could be an advantage.
