About the Company
GBS Recruitment sources casual Cleaners during peak periods throughout the year for Patties Foods, a well-known food manufacturer based in Bairnsdale. Patties Foods are experiencing an increase in production which has created multiple temporary opportunities for you to join one of Australia's most recognised companies!
About the Role
With a number of areas in the business this role can be quite diverse; however completing repetitive tasks in each section is very common. Successful candidates could be working in all areas of the factory and duties would include:
- Selecting and applying cleaning agents to remove stains from various surfaces
- Cleaning equipment and areas using high pressure water cleaners and solvents
- Tidying rooms, emptying and removing bins
- Dusting, cleaning and polishing equipment
The successful applicants for the Cleaner position will possess:
- Previous cleaning experience – preferably within a manufacturing/industrial environment
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good numeracy & problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- You must be flexible and available to work afternoon shift (between 3pm to 12am) Monday to Sunday
- Due to the repetitive nature and manual handling tasks involved, the successful applicant must be physically fit and work ready
Recruitment Process from interview with GBS to appointment:
- Registration and interview with GBS Recruitment; completed paperwork, including a Police Check application form, 100 points of ID & 2 reference checks to be conducted
- Interview with Patties
- Pre-employment medical screening including urine drug & alcohol test
- Induction with Patties & shifts allocated
