SH Build has exciting job opportunities available for Building Supervisors and Carpenters to join our dynamic team to work on current projects in remote communities throughout Arnhem Land and the Northern Territory.
If you are hardworking, safety and quality focused, lead by example and are interested in working a flexible roster we want you. Criteria for the positions include:
Site Supervisors
Essential Criteria
- Carpentry Trade Certificate
- Minimum 8 years industry experience
- Ability and willingness to travel to remote sites and work under a flexible roster
- Experience with supervising teams of employees and managing multiple subcontractors
- Knowledge of Safety requirements and ability to manage safety systems onsite
- Commitment to quality workmanship, practices and procedures
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, and ability to prioritise to meet deadlines
- Well developed oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision but able to take direction from senior management
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Must be tech savy and know your way around a computer and ipad
Preferred Criteria
- Understanding of NT Government construction projects and documentation
- Truck HR and MC, and machinery operating experience, licenses and tickets
- Project Management experience or qualification would be advantageous but not essential
Carpenters
Criteria
- Trade Qualification
- Minimum 5 years industry experience
- Ability and willingness to travel to remote sites and work under a flexible roster
- Knowledge of Safety requirements
- Commitment to quality workmanship, practices and procedures
- Ability to work with minimal supervision but able to take direction from Supervisors
- Truck and machinery operating experience, licenses and tickets
