Position Purpose:
This role involves assisting in the scheduled servicing of new equipment in the workshop in an efficient and timely manner.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the servicing of machinery under warranty
- Assist with the diagnosis and fault finding in the mechanical assessment of machinery for repair, maintenance and service
- Assist the Workshop Leading Hand and Diesel Mechanics as directed
- Assist service personnel to ensure machinery is serviced or repaired in a timely manner
- Ensure workshop is kept neat and tidy
- Ensure a safe working environment and report any safety incidents or concerns to the Safety Manager
- Ensure compliance with the relevant OH&S requirements
- Contribute to the participative arrangements and communication strategies for managing OH&S risks in the workplace
- Conformance to quality systems and procedures
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Progression towards a trade qualification
- Mechanical aptitude
- Excellent customer service focus
- Ability to comply with company procedures and policies
MAJOR MEASURES:
- Successful completion of practical and theoretical component of apprenticeship
- Paperwork completed accurately
- Good customer service skills
