Concept Engineering have been providing labour hire and recruitment services to industry for over 40 years.
We now have an immediate vacancy for a Maintenance and Reliability Supervisor/Technichian to provide preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs and oversee all aspects of the preventative maintenance process in this manufacturing facility based in Truganina.
Reporting to the Site Manager and assisted by a Maintenance Fitter, the incumbent will be trade qualified as a Fitter/ Toolmaker, be familiar with CMMS systems and maintenance planning/scheduling, have knowledge of OHS standards and processes, First Aid qualifications, scissor or boom lift ticket and Safe Working at Heights ticket.
We are seeking applications from fitters who have experience in a maintenance planning function but who also enjoy working in the production environment and the challenges and rewards that come with it.
Both hydraulic and pneumatic experience is required and an electrical connect/disconnect licence would be highly regarded. A forklift licence and EWP ticket would also be welcome.
As this is a supervisory role, the successful candidate will possess strong people skills, excellent communication style and have intermediate level Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel &Outlook).
Other associated duties will include but not be limited to;
- Coordinate external plant/service maintenance contracts
- Assisting to identify things that may go wrong and actions to prevent them
- Actively promote and implement lean principles (Kaizen, 5S, EOW)
- Develop and document training materials
- Drive cost reduction
- Assist corrective actions which result in scrap elimination
- monitor, maintain and participate in safety systems
- Generate weekly & monthly reports Be responsible for 24 hour emergency maintenance service
- Maintenance inventory levels of spare parts
- Be responsible for 24 hour emergency maintenance service either scheduled or call-out
- Ensure system compliance and quality procedures are adhered to, and
- Develop and drive the implementation of operational work systems that allow people to be safe at all times
