We are currently seeking experienced Manual Machinists, CNC Machinists, Mechanical Fitters and Boilermaker Welders to join the team at our Kingston based workshop facility.
These are full-time positions for both workshop and site operations.
Our workshops are clean, fully-equipped and modern. You will be working with a safety focused team of highly skilled tradespeople who take pride in the quality of their work.
As a Manual Machinist, some of your duties will require you to be able to:
- Carry out accurate and efficient machining of parts from engineering drawings and samples;
- Determine material and equipment requirements and task sequences;
- Setup and operate a variety of size and type of manual machines including lathes, drilling, slotting and milling machines;
- Inspect and verify parts by using precision measuring equipment.
As a CNC Machinist, some of your duties will require you to be able to:
- Shop floor programme, set and operate CNC lathes and/or milling machines;
- Interpret engineering drawings;
- Inspect and verify parts by using precision measuring equipment.
As a Mechanical Fitter, some of your duties will require you to be able to:
- Dismantle and assemble mechanical equipment to specification;
- Carry out maintenance, refurbishment and repairs of plant & equipment;
- Accurately measure components and record dimensions for quality assurance.
As a Boilermaker Welder, some of your duties will require you to:
- Setup and operate fabricating machines such as plate rolls, saws, flame cutters, and presses;
- Setup and operate a variety of welding equipment such as MIG, TIG and stick.
- Fabricate steel, aluminium and stainless-steel components and assemblies following engineering drawings;
- Carry out refurbishment and repairs to plant & equipment.
Successful candidates must have/be:
- Commitment to safe work practices.
- Be trade qualified with strong trade knowledge.
- Experience working with small to large scale jobs in an industrial low volume jobbing environment.
- Able to complete jobs on time and in accordance with quality standards.
- Able to pass drug and alcohol screening.
Occupational training and high risk licences such as dogging, rigging, working at heights etc looked upon favourably.
