FULL TIME – QUALIFIED LIGHT VEHICLE MECHANIC
Hours of work will be between 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
NOTE: Please do not apply if you are not trade qualified in this field
About the role:
We are looking for an experience mechanic for a full-time position. You will be required to perform general repairs and servicing of most makes and models of all vehicles. The probation period will be 3 months.
Our small modern workshop is in Slacks Creek with a very strong reputation for quality workmanship, which has been in business for 15 years. The workshop is well equipped with all hoists and diagnostic tools you will need.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair general mechanical faults;
- Log book servicing;
- Pre-purchase inspections;
- Talk / discuss with customers their requirements.
What we require:
- Ability to work in a team environment within a modern work shop;
- Flexibility, reliability & honesty is a must;
- Ability to work unsupervised in a timely manner;
- Also, be punctual; possess a strong work ethic; be self-motivated and be able to take & follow instructions;
- Minimum of 4/5 years post trade experience;
- Experience in servicing / mechanical repairs to a broad range of vehicles;
- High performance experiences an advantage;
- Diagnostic work including locating faults and completing repairs;
- Ability to carry out, finalise and accurately record job paperwork & associated details;
- Own tools.
Requirements:
- Mechanical Trade Certificate / Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- Current Australian Manual Drivers Licence
- Supply Own Tools
- Must have the right to work in Australia
- Speak and write English fluently
