Working out of our Forrestfield locomotive & wagon maintenance facility, this role will see you:
- Champion a safety culture which promotes, creates and maintains a Zero Harm;
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across functions to create streamlined and optimised solutions to our customers;
- Role model Aurizon’s values consistent with our leadership principles;
- Manage and direct staff to achieve business requirements whilst upholding maintenance objectives.
- Ensure the allocated team has up to date training and level of competencies;
- Setting and monitoring of performance standards and behavioural standards, building a high performance team, and managing performance, disciplinary matters;
- Take accountability for incident investigations within the area of responsibility and conduct detailed investigation reports, full training can be provided.
About you:
- You will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to safety;
- You will bring, or be able to demonstrate your frontline leadership capability including task assignment, problem solving and performance management;
- Your ability to demonstrate your effectiveness at engaging team members, establishing and sustaining relationships, setting of clear direction and provision of coaching will distinguish you from other candidates.
- You will have, or be able to demonstrate strong customer relationship management skills;
- You will have the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks ensuring the best outcomes for the business;
- Maintenance/Trade background is desirable;
- Possess a Certificate IV/Diploma in Frontline Management or equivalent
