About the Role

We have an opening within our New South Wales Service Team for a permanent full time Service Technician assisting our business clients with their appliance service and repair needs. If you are customer service focused and comfortable providing advice on standards, regulatory compliance, functionality and performance of commercial appliances, this could be the role for you!

Responsibilities

• Carry out quality field service repairs at the customer's premises or in the workshop
• Commission professional appliances
• In conjunction with the Call Planner, optimise allocated work load to accommodate over-runs and minimise non-productive time
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance at customer sites in accordance with contractual obligations and Miele policies and guidelines
• Supporting sales, conducting initial assessment of viability for contracts and feedback to relevant parties
• Handle and resolve customer complaints in the field within company guidelines relevant to the position
• Ensure the accurate and timely completion of necessary paperwork
• Ensure van stock is controlled in line with requirement

Role Requirements

• The availability and flexibility to travel (e.g. regional areas, trips to offshore ships and oil rigs)
• A-Class electrical licence
• Current laundry and kitchen or white goods experience is advantageous
• A sound technical knowledge of appliances incorporating the ability to diagnose and rectify faults through effective problem solving skills
• Skilled in proper use of tools, equipment and gauges to ensure optimal use
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong administration skills
• A genuine enjoyment of meeting and building rapport with customers
