The role of Crew Member is responsible for competently operating trucks and other plant items as part of a team.  Your role will include general labouring duties maintaining Council's roads and assets.  This includes bitumen, concrete works, traffic control, concreting and pipe laying.

Key activities of this role include:

  • Safely and competently operate various types of trucks and plant;
  • Undertake general labouring duties to maintain roads and related assets, including bitumen, concrete, lawn maintenance and drainage works;
  • Undertaking traffic control, concreting including formwork, steel fixing and finishing, pipe laying duties.

Essential Criteria:

  • Current MR Driver’s Licence;
  • Current RMS Traffic Controller Certificate (Blue Card);
  • Current RMS Traffic Control Implementation (Yellow Card);
  • Current Construction General Induction card – NSW WorkCover or equivalent;
  • Demonstrated relevant experience in truck operation associated with civil works;
  • Demonstrated experience in the repair and maintenance of roads and related infrastructure;
  • Demonstrated experience in the implementation and maintenance of Sedimentation and Erosion Control measures;
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of large and small plant;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of a Maintenance Management System.

This role provides a salary range of $935.56 to $1122.90 per week ($48,780 to $58,548 per annum) + $15.80/week allowance + Superannuation.
