The Client
Our client is a well-managed Shire Council, considered the ‘friendly heart of outback Queensland’. Located just over an hour from Mt Isa, this rural community is well serviced with major supermarkets, hospital & health services, swimming pool, restaurants and pubs, community gym and a local airport.
The Opportunity
To lead the Water and Sewerage Team,being responsible for the coordination, resourcing and supervision of and ensuring the safe, cost effective and efficient operation and maintenance of Council’s water and sewerage treatment plants; pump stations; reticulation, plumbing and water storage infrastructure.
About You
To be considered for this position you will have
- Current unrestricted “C” Class driver’s licence;
- Construction White Card/Blue Card;
- Current high risk forklift ticket would be highly desirable;
- Be a licenced plumber or possess a Certificate III Water Operations or higher desirable;
- Experience in Local Government or in a civil construction environment;
