Working exclusively alongside our client in Brisbane, Quality Assurance Recruitment has been tasked with finding a quality assurance manager who is not only an expert in quality, but also an individual who places a large focus on teamwork and internal stakeholder engagement.
Woking within food manufacturing, this role will suit an experienced quality professional who thrives in a busy environment, working with multiple product ranges, and working for a manager who believes in providing ongoing training, support and guidance.
Key responsibilities in the role will include:
- Ensuring compliance of the Quality Management Systems to the highest standard
- Managing all aspects of the HACCP program
- Leading internal and external customer audits
- Preparation of Product Specifications and PIF’s
- Managing approved supplier program
- Staff training in hygiene and GMP
- Gain and maintain required domestic and global regulatory approval programmes
- Overseeing daily production QC and document compliance
- Drive continuous improvement in the areas of Quality Assurance and Food Safety
- Liaising with customers regarding quality / technical matters
To be successful for this position you must have:
- Formal qualifications in Food Science
- A number of years’ experience in a mid - senior level quality assurance role
- Internal auditing certification
- Thorough understanding and practical working knowledge of HACCP, BRC, WQA, and additional customer and retailer standards
- Experience with leading external audit processes
- Attention to detail & a passion for quality
- Excellent communication skills, along with a demonstrated key focus on building stakeholder relationships
