IPM is a leading Work Health and Safety consultancy company based in Hobart.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Occupation Hygienist to join our professional team offering a diverse range of services. You will receive ongoing training (technical and leadership) as you develop your career.
Part time and full time applicants will be considered.
As a member of our team your role would include:
- Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with IPM clients
- Designing and conducting Occupational Hygiene (OH) programs
- Identifying practical workplace solutions to control exposure
- Providing OH advice to clients
- Supporting other professionals in the delivery of specialised WHS tasks
- Deliver presentations and client training programs
The skills and qualifications required include:
- A degree in the field of Science or Engineering
- Master of Occupational Hygiene (or equivalent) or currently studying towards this qualification with an AIOH approved institution
- As a minimum Provisional Membership of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (AIOH) is essential with 3+ years' professional experience in Occupational Hygiene
- Asbestos Assessor Licence, or ability to obtain one
- Cert IV Training and Assessment, or ability to obtain one
- Full unrestricted Driver Licence
- Communicate information effectively and professionally to both technical and non-technical workers and managers
- Excellent computer skills
- Able to perform manual duties including lifting, climbing and working in areas such as ceiling voids, sub-floors, risers and at heights
- The ability to travel and work flexible hours
- Able to obtain security clearances and a satisfactory health check
- Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Display excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Maintain a professional, coachable approach in a team environment that ensures the achievement of key outcomes
