Are you interested in playing a key role in the sustainable management of Victoria’s native forests?
VicForests is a Victorian State-owned business responsible for the sustainable harvest, regeneration and commercial sale of timber from Victoria's public forests on behalf of the Victorian Government.

We have an opportunity for a GIS Operator to join our organisation. Reporting to the Spatial Data Administrator, you will be responsible for the maintenance, development and support of VicForests’ spatial information and to ensure its integrity and quality in relevant business systems. You will be required to assist with spatial analysis and mapping tasks, the administration of both corporate and project data and to provide support to regional staff as required.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- A relevant tertiary GIS qualification
- At least one year of industry experience using ArcGIS Desktop
- Experience using Python
- Confidence working in a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to engage with team members and stakeholders in an open and constructive manner
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
