Based at the headquarters in Wangaratta, we are looking to appoint an agile and pragmatic Laboratory Manager for a full-time position.
About the role
This role is an exciting challenge for an experienced scientist who is ready to step up into a management position. Under the leadership of the Regional Operations Manager, you will work closely with the Wangaratta team coordinating the provision of superior pathology services to the regional area. As part of the wider Dorevitch network you will be supported to extend your experience to marketing and business development, receive job satisfaction and develop professionally in your career.
Your knowledge and experience will extend to the routine laboratory operations of Haematology, Coagulation, Blood Bank and Biochemistry.
The responsibilities (not limited to) will include;
- Oversee workflow throughout the laboratory
- Participate in the on-call roster
- Manage day to day running of the laboratory including liaison with the Heidelberg laboratory
- Liaise with doctors, hospitals and patients
- Extensive liaison with internal and external customers (this includes Senior Management, Lab staff, IT, HR, WH&S, Accounts, Service Providers etc.)
- Investigate and instigate ongoing improvements for our business
- View the bigger picture of our business
