On offer
The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and managing our Victorian existing clients with a strong focus in generating new business within the territory and who can work autonomously, managing their own day to day priorities. Although this role requires someone to be mainly on the road, they will work amongst a very tightly knit team in our Blackburn head office and laboratory.


Duties include, and are not limited to:

  • Developing. reporting and pursuing a continuing active pipeline
  • Account management of existing customers within the retail channel, as well as sourcing new opportunities to grow the business
  • Establish & build solid relationships with all customers
  • Strengthen business growth and identify additional target markets, customers and potential new product lines
  • Negotiating rate and service agreements with prospective customers and service providers
  • Preparing and presenting proposals and tenders aligned with company’s policies
  • Work with laboratory staff and other internal stakeholders to meet customer needs 
  • Update CRM regularly with activities
  • Provide local market analysis on pricing and performance
  • Travel when required to maintain strong relationships

The Successful Candidate will:

  • Have the ability to travel around Victoria on a regular basis
  • Previous experience as a BDM / Sales Manager in a similar industry will be valuable
  • Strong key account and business development track record
  • Excellent communication skills, written & verbal
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills
  • Ability to demonstrate a drive and passion for sales
  • Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to work with people at all levels of the organisation and customers
  • An excellent problem-solver, both technically and commercially
  • Good time management, well organised and able to set and reset priorities
  • Client Relationship Management (CRM) experience
