We are seeking an experienced Process Development / Food Technologist to join our NPD team. This role will demand high levels of creativity, self motivation, attention to detail and excellent project management skills. The successful candidate will need to be a strong team player, and drive projects to improve and develop new products, in line with customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Factory Trials and report comprehensively on findings.
- Develop accurate and complete specifications and maintain specification databases
- Arrange product analytical and microbiological testing.
- Prepare theoretical nutritional analyses, product costings and ingredient lists
- Develop quality standards and carry out bench marking panels
- Lead and implement process development projects.
- Develop a sound working knowledge of customer markets and products.
- Exceed customer expectations in terms of innovation and new product development.
- Work closely with all departments to ensure project delivery and ongoing business needs are met.
- Establish strong and productive working relationships with external stakeholders.
Key Requirements
- Degree level or equivalent qualification in a food related discipline.
- Excellent negotiation and problem solving skills.
- Motivated self-starter
- Minimum 4 years’ experience of working in food product development or senior production role.
- Team player and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep up-to-date product files
