ABOUT THE COMPANY
Oswald Environmental Solutions is a small business/consultancy that specialises in revegetation and landscaping scope from minor to major construction projects. Year on year they're expanding their team further and taking on larger projects involving a vast and technical scope of works. Their multi-disciplined crew consists of qualified Environmental Specialists, Project Managers, Supervisors and specialist subcontractors.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be supplementing the current team based at the project and joining this thriving business as a skilled Supervisor, running a team of subcontractors totalling 2-10 members on a large Tier 1 Construction Project. The successful Supervisor will ideally have a background in either environmental science, horticulture or revegetation and possess a great eye for high quality finish.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Site management;
- Conducting toolbox talks and pre-starts
- Safety implementation;
- Reading and interpreting landscaping designs;
- Supervising and coordinating a team of Sub-contractors;
- Identifying critical construction paths to completion and prioritisation of tasks accordingly
- Assist in developing and improving standards and procedures.
- Preparation of monthly costings, budgets and forecasts;
- Client liaison;
- Reporting to the Landscaping Lead.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Tertiary degree (or Cert IV/diploma) in Environmental Science, Horticulture or related discipline;
- Demonstrated experience in supervising medium- to large-scale revegetation and/or landscaping projects;
- Demonstrated past experience on Tier 1 construction projects is highly desirable;
- Strong customer focus and a desire to assist the business to grow;
- An understanding of working to budgets and time frames;
- A willingness to adapt quickly and resolve issues in a timely and cost-effective manner;
- An ability to foster, and work in, a highly productive and enjoyable team environment;
- Current WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence;
- Proficiency in MS Office suite; and
- Knowledge of Western Australian flora (particularly Swan Coastal Plain species) is highly desirable;
