Project Officer – NSW Government

A Project Officer is required for a NSW Government Department to help deliver sustainability programs for business, government and household sectors. This role will be based in the Sydney CBD, with some time spent in the Parramatta office (approx. once per fortnight).
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Refine program logics
• Develop monitoring and evaluation plans (including appropriate indicators)
• Establish program management processes
• Assist in the development, monitoring and evaluation of sustainability programs to support positive environmental, social and economic outcomes
• Provide input into the preparation of reports, submissions, briefing notes and ministerial correspondence
• Provide support to project teams around; risk management, reviewing evidence against planned outcomes, reporting, etc.
• Undertake relevant research and evaluation
• Represent and advocate for sustainability program interests

Selection criteria:

• Previous experience in a similar role, supporting a PMO or working in a program delivery role
• Facilitation experience
• Background in energy or resource efficiency policies & programs (highly regarded)
• Monitoring/evaluation expertise
• Ability to think independently and critically engage with various programs and delivery models
• Act as a proactive problem solver
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Previous government experience beneficial (but not essential)
