Overview:

This unique and exciting full time opportunity will be based in our brand new Silverwater Head Office where you will see yourself an integral part of our Research and Development department. As a Graduate Mathematician you will be responsible for the following:

  • Assists in the design of fun, innovative math models for new slot and video slot games that maximize player appeal and game performance in the field.
  • Responsible for all math model calculations for assigned games, including base game/free games, bonus features, and all payback percentages, hit frequencies, standard deviations, and other metrics as appropriate
  • Utilizes existing programming tools to verify math models, create playable demos of games designed, and analyze game play characteristics.
  • Prepares Excel spreadsheets for regulatory submission, adhering to Scientific Games standards for formatting and preferred mathematical methods.
  • Reviews other Game Developers’ calculations prior to regulatory submission, checking for correctness and adherence to Scientific Games standards
  • Develops new and improves existing mathematical methods
  • Works with the regulatory agencies as needed to address and resolve math-related compliance issues

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor degree with Strong Mathematical component, with an emphasis in probability and statistics, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in mathematics, especially probability and statistics
  • Proficiency in Excel, especially in the use of linking and formulas to dynamically calculate probabilities and describe complicated probabilistic events
  • Intermediate programming skills in C++, C#, Unity, or related languages is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), especially the ability to communicate complicated mathematical concepts to people without a background in mathematics
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong creativity and imagination
