ECO LOGICAL AUSTRALIA PTY LTD is one of Australia’s leading environmental assessment, strategic conservation planning and ecosystem management consultancies.
Due to our company’s continued and sustained growth we have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Graduate Ecologist to join our team of dynamic and highly respected environmental professionals in our Mudgee office.
This role will primarily involve providing ecological and environmental support and services to the Mudgee office with tasks including field work, contributing towards report writing, proposal preparation and other general activities as directed.
In this role you will:
- Contribute to projects in the fields of ecological assessment, environmental impact assessment, vegetation management, biobanking, environmental monitoring, planning and conservation assessment
- Learn from the best in multidisciplinary project management and delivery
- Gain on the job training and mentoring from experienced and respected environmental professionals
- Work with other scientists across the company and with current and prospective clients, government and regulatory authorities.
Selection criteria
The people we are seeking will have:
- A degree in Environmental Science or related discipline
- Experience in ecology and flora survey
- Sound communication and scientific writing skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others
- Can-do attitude and self-starter initiative with good time management skills
- An awareness of relevant NSW and Commonwealth legislation
- Current driver’s licence
- A sound working knowledge and practical experience using MS office products.
Desirable skills include:
- Honours
- GIS (ArcView) skills or demonstrated spatial data analysis and application in ecology.
