About the role
The Senior Packaging Technologist is accountable for developing, delivering and optimising packaging solutions by working collaboratively with Marketing and Supply Chain colleagues on New Product Development (NPD) initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute and prioritise structured plans for the development of packaging solutions for NPD projects
- Implement packaging solutions for new and existing products ensuring that the requirements of the Commercial and Manufacturing agendas and Customer & Consumer drivers are met
- Support plant trials and testing where required
- Manage the development of packaging solutions for new and existing products to meet the requirements of the NPD project portfolio
- Work collaboratively with other functions to identify and implement packaging initiatives associated with commercial brand plans
- Providing approval for design and artwork in line with company guidelines
About you
- Demonstrated experience as a Packaging Technologist or Specialist within a large, complex FMCG environment
- Strong project management skills with a track record in the successful delivery of cross functional projects
- Experience working effectively as part of a cross functional team to deliver projects
- High levels of accountability and initiative with an inquisitive nature
- Tertiary qualifications in Science, Engineering or a related discipline will be highly regarded
