Operating in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, this ultra-modern contract-testing laboratory is seeking a full time Method Development / Validation Analytical Chemist for immediate start.
Accredited with the TGA and APVMA, the high-tech facilities encompass a broad range of analytical equipment primarily used in the Pharmaceutical, Veterinary and Bioanalytical sectors.
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to perform a wide variety of challenging method development and validation projects with focus on delivering high quality results in a timely manner. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of Analytical Chemistry with strong background in method development and validation of Analytical methods.
Duties and Responsibilities
● Method development and validation of analytical methods using HPLC, Gas Chromatography, Ion Chromatography, and LC-MS
● Preparation of validation protocols in accordance with ICH guidelines
● Completing documentation in accordance with the TGA and FDA guidelines.
● Troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and assisting in routine instrument maintenance and qualification.
● Adherence to strict quality systems and procedures and meeting tight project deadlines.
● Training and coaching other analysts.
● Ensure laboratory area is kept clean, tidy and safe and audit ready.
Prerequisites
● A degree in Chemistry, analytical Science or a related discipline
● A minimum of 5 years analytical experience in a regulated laboratory
● Extensive knowledge of chemistry and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues with respect to identification of unknown impurities and quantification of samples.
● Experience with HPLC, GC, IC, and LC-MS
● Proven ability to undertake routine testing, method development and validation with minimum supervision
● Flexibility and ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively to influence others in the team.
● Well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
