We are seeking a motivated recent graduate (or final year student) with strong practical laboratory skills to join a well-established research team based in North Ryde with onsite parking. This role will contribute directly to the development of our next generation of digital inkjet products.
The main focus will be on:
The research, development and analysis of digital inkjet inks for various applications including an improved understanding of their functionality and material compatibility.
Specific tasks will include:
· Execution of experiments to formulate inks and test interactions with media and printing devices.
· The physical and chemical analysis of ink properties.
· The documentation and presentation of results.
General Roles:
· To monitor time lines and ensure key milestones are met.
Experience & Skills - Essential
- Excellent practical laboratory skills with the ability to set up and run experiments.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and work in a team environment.
- Some experience in practical problem solving in a laboratory setting.
- Some experience of operation of scientific equipment or instrumentation.
- Skills in data analysis.
- Ability to prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations.
Experience & Skills - Preferred
- High level knowledge of MS office.
- Understanding of WHS requirements in a laboratory environment.
- Some practical experience in organic synthesis and/or formulation chemistry.
Education - Essential
- BSc (higher 2nd or 1st Class Hons) or higher degree in Chemistry or allied fields. Final year students will also be considered for this role.
