Cordina Chicken Farms is an Australian owned family business with over 70 years’ experience in the Poultry industry. From our facility located at Girraween (NSW) we process, prepare and distribute chicken meat products.
An excellent opportunity currently exists for a Senior Product Developer to join the Cordina New Product Development team, operating out of a newly designed and built Development Kitchen.
This position is responsible for supporting the implementation of the Company's product program in ensuring innovative product development across multi-proteins enabling the Company to meet its strategic objectives regarding our Brand and Products produced.
Key accountabilities of this position include but are not limited to -
- Initiate and be involved with all new product developments, lines extensions, food quality improvements, and productivity for the Company
- Continually maintain and refresh current product lines with quality improvements
- Develop quality products; constantly looking for new ways to offer greater choice to consumers
- Understand and research market trends
- Provide technical assistance and support to the Company
The successful applicant will need to possess the following:
- Scientific or Technical Degree preferably relating to Food Science / Food Technology
- 5+ years previous working experience in a similar role
- A genuine passion for food with a sound background in the food industry
- Creative flair in brainstorming and generating new product ideas
- Research and development experience
- Understanding of multifactorial hurdle technology and shelf life design
- Awareness of food regulations, particularly food labelling and Food Standards Code
