Patheon Biologics- part of ThermoFisher Scientific are seeking two self-motivated and energetic full-time USP Scientists to join our innovative and exciting manufacturing facility in Woolloongabba. Key Requirements:
As a USP Scientist, you will work with the USP Supervisor to
- Execute manufacturing batch records, work instructions and/or SOPs, with focus on ‘right the first time’ execution.
- Able to assist in all Department functions, such as maintaining suite, supplies, equipment, logbooks and data in accordance with site SOPs and policies.
- Document all activities to meet cGMP requirements.
- Proposes and implements corrective or preventive actions (CAPA) level and writing Deviation Action Reports.
- Critical evaluation of processes, including foresight and thinking ahead, and actively provides feedback.
- Complete preventative maintenance and work notifications tasks on time. Performs equipment testing and routine trouble-shooting.
- Ensure tasks are executed with a method of prioritization - interpret production schedules and complete tasks accordingly.
- Participate in 1-1’s, meetings, attend meetings as necessary to facilitate area needs based on changes, etc. (lean activities).
- Due to involvement in the timely execution of manufacturing processes, a fair amount of discipline, organizational skills and flexibility in working hours are required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or greater preferably in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or similarly related field.
- Experience with bioreactors/fermenters (stirred tank and WAVE) for mammalian cell cultivation as well as clarification process.
- Experience with aseptic manipulations inside a BSC/LAF.
- Very good knowledge and/or working experience of production in cGMP environment.
- Working as a team, proven ability to execute tasks based on the deliverables.
- Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills required.
- Well-versed in risk-based assessments with an attention to detail.
