Aurecon's Queensland Advisory Team possess a strong capability within the Environment and Planning field from project planning and feasibility to construction on a wide range of projects including major infrastructure in roads, rail, energy, industrial and port facilities across Queensland and Australia.
Our current committed and projected workload provides unique opportunities for experienced Ecologists to join the team in our Brisbane office.
The skills and abilities we are searching for include:
- Qualifications in ecology/environmental science or other related discipline
- 5-15 years’ experience in one (or combination) of the following areas:
- Terrestrial ecology
- Aquatic ecology, with AUSRIVAS accreditation desirable
- Environmental Impact Assessment
- Environmental Approvals/Licensing/Permitting
- Strong skills in flora and fauna species identification
- Strong experience conducting ecological field survey
- Strong project management and client engagement experience
- Demonstrated strong communication skills and an ability to discuss detailed environmental concepts with engineers (or other professionals) to develop sustainable environmental and engineering design solutions
- Accurate reporting skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
- A commitment to safety and safe work practices, and a willingness to promote Aurecon's safety culture
- Class C, open licence and confidence in driving 4wd vehicles in remote locations is desirable
Based in Brisbane, the roles offer diverse, interesting and challenging work with the opportunity to make your mark in a consulting environment. The people we are seeking must be available for periodic (sometimes frequent) fieldwork assignments to potentially remote areas or interstate areas, for durations of up to two weeks.
