We are seeking a  Quality Control Technician to join our Quality Control team assisting in the testing and manufacture of the product lines within the BioBall range. This is a permanent position however we are able to offer flexible hours / start / finish times. The role will involve handling microbiological cultures within a PC2 laboratory on a daily basis.

Job responsibilities comprise but are not limited to:

• Performing quality control testing on the manufactured products including plating and enumerating colonies
• Completing and maintaining up to date records in our electronic database
• Following and reviewing standard operating procedures in line with company requirements
• General laboratory tasks including solution preparation, calibration and maintenance
• Cross training with other team members

Qualifications in science and/or previous experience working in a microbiology laboratory would be well regarded.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication and inter-personal skills
• Ability to work independently and to meet committed goals and deadlines
• Display initiative and have a strong attention to detail
• A flexible, positive, "can do" attitude with a willingness to adapt and learn new technologies as required
• Intermediate to Advanced MS office
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and working in a laminar flow or BS2 cabinet is desired
• Experience/familiarity with Quality Management Systems and Good Manufacturing Practices is desired but not essential
