We are a manufacturer of Certified Pharmaceutical products based at Western Sydney and we are now looking for an experienced Officer - Dairy/health complementary, to join our team. The role requires the candidate to have experience in a similar or related industry such as Dairy, Food and Beverage or Pharmaceutical etc. With a "hands on" approach we will challenge your skills in this critical role to maintain the integrity of the quality products we manufacture.
Job Description:
- Implementing site Quality Assurance and Control systems
- Developing and managing the QMS
- Ensuring food hygiene and safety plans are up-to-date and implemented across the site
- Internal/external auditing
- Using Root Cause Analysis and other investigative techniques to ensure potential or actual non-conformance are understood
- Implementing corrective and preventative actions arising from audits / near misses / customer complaints or other internal/external processes
- Assisting production teams to implement and maintain Good Manufacturing Practice, including equipment and environmental sanitation
- Liaising with the TGA, Food Authority and other regulatory bodies
- Supporting the development of a culture with zero tolerance for non-conformance.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in dairy manufacturing, with infant formula being an advantage
- Significant QA experience gained in the dairy, pharmaceutical or food industries
- A tertiary qualification in Food Science or a related discipline
- The ability to lead a QA / QC team
- Excellent working knowledge of TGA, GMP requirements and HACCP,
- Well-developed analysis and decision making skills
- Excellent communication skills with team members at all levels of the organisation
Individuals looking to apply must have 3-5 years experience in quality control & a degree qualification in Chemistry is preferred with pharmaceutical back ground.
