Arotec Diagnostics is a manufacturer and global distributor of high quality antigens and antibodies for the autoimmune diagnostics market. With their dedicated team, including a highly specialised department of scientists and overseas sales personnel, it is regarded as the leader in native antigen purification to diagnostics equipment manufacturers around the world. Having recently been acquired by a larger parent company and relocated to a state-of-the-art, purpose-built manufacturing site in Wellington, New Zealand, this autonomous business has a solid base and the backing to grow.
The Opportunity:
Following a recent internal promotion, a vacancy exists for a skilled Portfolio Manager. Working cross-functionally with the sales and manufacturing teams, this multifunctional role includes – but is by no means limited to:
- Marketing management of the company’s product lines, developing strategies and providing input into the growth of the company’s product portfolio
- Generating marketing and technical collaterals to support the company’s specialised offerings
- Collaboration with the sales team including liaison between customer and manufacturing
- Identifying and capitalising on clinical advances, market trends and customer demand to allow Arotec to develop its market position
- Manage forecasting and pricing strategies
You, the Candidate:
As the successful candidate you will have proven success building and maintaining strong relationships with current and potential customers, industry contacts and your colleagues within the business. Your ability to establish credibility and understand the technical background behind the business and the industry will be invaluable, as will your strength in work collaboratively with peers across multiple disciplines.
To be considered will ideally possess the following attributes:
- Bachelor of Science degree, preferably life science/ biochemistry related OR alternative tertiary qualification with scientific training in biochemistry or related field
- Strong background in marketing in a technical, highly regulated industry (preferably life science, pharmaceuticals or related, with manufacturing an advantage)
- Experience in brand management and development
- Good technical writing capabilities and ability to understand and convey scientific information
- High levels of commercial acumen with the ability to build strong supported commercial business cases
- A customer-centric approach, with proven relationship-building, communication skills, and strong team-orientation
- A proactive, enthusiastic approach with high levels of drive and initiative
- The desire to develop, grow and embrace new ideas and strategies
