Cardno provides a range of first-class geotechnical and environmental engineering services using a wide variety of investigation and analysis techniques. We currently have exciting opportunities for suitably qualified and highly motivated Soil Technicians to join our team in Mackay. We have a number of medium and large-scale environmental projects and sites in the region.
 
Permanent and Casual positions currently exist within our Mackay office for -

• Experienced Soil Technicians

 
As an Experienced Soil Technician you will use your knowledge of soil testing in the field and laboratory to provide accurate results, calibrate equipment, undertake site supervision and organise resources to assist clients in meeting project targets in a diligent and timely manner.  You will perform soil testing to Australian Standards (AS) and Department of Transport & Main Roads (QLD) standards, on projects in and around QLD.
 
This position requires team players with a high level of initiative, flexibility and enthusiasm, supported with strong communication skills.

• Trainee Soil Technicians

As a Trainee Soil Technician you will be provided full training in how to use equipment, undertake field and laboratory testing and provide test results. We do not require previous experience for Trainee roles but do require a keen interest in this field.
