About the Role
As a game design assistant you will be an important member of our senior game design team and play a crucial role in assisting our game designers to create their industry leading games. As a game design assistant one of your key responsibilities will be to work closely with our game designers to transform their game concepts into AGT’s proprietary game environment. The game design assistant will also be responsible for performing a range of game simulations so that our game designers can evaluate the mathematical properties of games.
Experience
To be successful as a game design assistant you will need to have a demonstrable experience in the following areas:
- a solid understanding of spinning reel games of chance (pokie/slot games);
- an ability to transform game concepts into a scripting language;
- computer literacy to a level sufficient to run PC based simulations and collect data results from simulations; and
- an ability to work well with a small team and meet tight deadlines.
While not mandatory to be considered for the role, candidates who have experience in basic statistics and computer languages such as C# and LUA would be viewed very favourably.
Qualifications
No formal qualifications are required for this role, but any candidate with formal qualifications in computer programming would be viewed favourably.
