What’s on Offer:
As a Research Officer (Food Safety) with the Department of Primary Industries, you’ll be:
- Providing scientific and professional support to Horticultural Food Safety Research projects
- Working for a global leader ranked in the top 1% of world research institutions
- Earning between $61,658- $118,419 per annum plus superannuation and 17.5% leave loading
- In a temporary role until 29th May 2019
- Part of the NSW Agriculture Research & Development team (NSW Department of Primary Industries)

What You’ll Do:
- Undertake experimental analysis, data collection and collation in a PC2 microbiological laboratory and at horticultural industry sites
- Prepare reports, scientific papers and presentations for delivery at internal and external meetings and conferences
- Conduct training, workshops and stakeholder meetings as required
- Work closely and collaborate with NSW DPI staff, national/international collaborators, contractors and other horticultural industry stakeholders to assist with research outcomes
- Travel regionally and nationally as required
What You’ll Have:
- A degree qualification in Science, Agricultural Science, Food Science, or a related field
- A current NSW Driver Licence
And if you’ve got this even better:
- Previous microbiology laboratory experience
