What’s on Offer:

As a Research Officer (Food Safety) with the Department of Primary Industries, you’ll be:

  • Providing scientific and professional support to Horticultural Food Safety Research projects

  • Earning between $61,658- $118,419 per annum plus superannuation and 17.5% leave loading
  • In a temporary role until 29th May 2019
  • Part of the NSW Agriculture Research & Development team (NSW Department of Primary Industries)

What You’ll Do:

  • Undertake experimental analysis, data collection and collation in a PC2 microbiological laboratory and at horticultural industry sites
  • Prepare reports, scientific papers and presentations for delivery at internal and external meetings and conferences
  • Conduct training, workshops and stakeholder meetings as required
  • Work closely and collaborate with NSW DPI staff, national/international collaborators, contractors and other horticultural industry stakeholders to assist with research outcomes
  • Travel regionally and nationally as required


What You’ll Have:

  • A degree qualification in Science, Agricultural Science, Food Science, or a related field
  • A current NSW Driver Licence

 
And if you’ve got this even better:

  • Previous microbiology laboratory experience
