Detail information about job Environmental Advisor. Terms and conditions vacancy

CPB Contractors is a leading international construction company and a member of the CIMIC Group.

We combine the construction track record and expertise formerly delivered by Leighton Contractors and Thiess, and we also include the people and projects of Leighton Asia.

In conjunction with our clients and partners, CPB Contractors is delivering important and iconic projects across all key sectors of the construction industry, meaning we offer significant and diverse work opportunities.

We are building on the strong foundations of our unique history to create a successful and sustainable future.  Safely delivering next-generation infrastructure that better connects people and transforms communities is at the heart of what we do.

What can our construction projects build for you?

The Project

The CPB Contractors and Seymour Whyte Constructions Joint Venture (CPBSWJV) has been appointed by VicRoads as the principal contractor to provide Design and Construct services to deliver the 12.5km Western Highway Duplication Section 2B, located between Pope Road, Buangor and Warrayatkin Road, Ararat.

The Western Highway (A8) in Victoria is the principal road transport corridor between Melbourne and Adelaide and has a current configuration of a two lane, single carriageway highway. The roadway currently supports interstate freight trade between Victoria and South Australia, the agricultural industry and regional tourism.

Presently, the Western Highway between Ballarat and Stawell, carries more than 5500 vehicles per day, including 1500 trucks, and as such is one of the busiest rural highways in the country. It is anticipated that the traffic volume will double by 2025. The upgrade of the Western Highway between Buangor to Ararat (Section 2B) includes the construction of a four lane divided highway (two lanes in each direction) divided by a central median. In addition to the divided carriageway, the highway will be further improved by the construction of sealed shoulders, safety barriers and upgrades to key intersections.
