Our Client is a growing business under TGA/GMP regulations, who provide a vital service throughout Australia. They are currently seeking a Production Manager for a full time, permanent position based on the south side of Brisbane.

The Production Manager position is a critical role that is the glue holding business operations together. It requires flexible thinking, a respect for existing systems with a knack for identifying improvement opportunities.

With their fast-paced manufacturing lines running on two shifts, our Client is seeking an organised, self-starter with a proactive attitude and the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and Clients.

You will have the ability to quickly and effectively analyse Production outcomes and statistics to influence schedules and plans that align with customer requirements. This is an excellent opportunity in the Pharmaceutical field, with a 3 year strategic plan already in place, and excellent remuneration for the right person.

Whilst this position offers normal working hours (day shift) Monday to Friday, there will be a requirement to work a Saturday each month, compensated by time off in lieu.


Responsibilities

As the Production Manager you will be responsible, but not limited to the following:

• Managing a team of 50+ staff;
• Coordinating Production schedules & Production planning;
• Managing resources to ensure Production targets are met;
• Meeting customer needs and deadlines;
• Be the Site Champion for LEAN manufacturing processes through continuous improvement initiatives;
• Review and approve production documentation;
• Develop, communicate and implement quarterly resource plans;
• Ensure all Production activities are performed in accordance with cGMP and WHS requirements;
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve targets;
• Manage, review and report on budgets;
• Participate in internal and external (TGA) audits.

Selection Criteria:

To be considered for this position, please provide an application outlining your suitability for the following requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar position or a minimum of 5 years in a Management position;
• A Cert IV or Diploma in Frontline Management and/or a Bachelor of Science an advantage;
• Previous experience leading teams in a TGA/GMP manufacturing environment;
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and motivate a large team to achieve set outcomes;
• Excellent organisational skills;
• Experience with LEAN manufacturing principles;
• Highly efficient in planning, scheduling and analytical skills;
• Excellent communication skills to develop strong and effective internal and external relationships.
