About the company and role:

Our client who develops and commercialises molecular diagnostic tests is committed to sourcing talent who share the same passion and enthusiasm.


They currently have a need for a Senior Research Scientist to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the Scientific Director, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Plan and conduct R&D projects for new test development
• Assist in the development of new statistical risk models
• Ensure all genetic test development is conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders
• Assist in management of Company's patent portfolio


Skills & experience:

To be successful in this position you will have:

• A PhD in genetics as well as post-doctoral experience
• Experience with SNP genotyping
• Multiple publications in high impact Scientific journals
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• The ability to manage multiple R&D projects from initial concept to final stages
• Strong interpersonal skills to be able to collaborate with both local and international Universities

A current and valid driver's licence is essential as is the ability to travel nationally and internally.
