About the Company:

Our client is a national beverage manufacturer of globally renowned brands seeking an experienced QA Technician (Microbiology) for a full-time temporary role to start immediately. The role requires a self motivated person with a will to succeed and a keen eye for detail.


The Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced QA Technician (Microbiology) for a temporary ongoing contract offering full time hours. Some shift work is required rotating as often as weekly from mornings (6am 2pm) to afternoons (2pm-10pm) Monday to Friday. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the QA Technician (Microbiology) will be responsible for (but not limited to):

• QA/QC testing of raw material, in process and finished products;
• Conducting necessary microbiological analysis such as E.Coli, yeast etc.;
• Supporting requirements for internal and external audits;
• Investigation, review and follow up on non-compliance, CAPA and complaints;
• Working within and upholding quality policies, procedures and food safety standards.

Skills & Experience:

To be considered for this position, applicants MUST have/be:

• A Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Microbiology or equivalent;
• Knowledge of microbial and laboratory testing techniques is essential;
• Previous experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment an advantage;
• A high level of communication and interpersonal skills;
• A keen work ethic and excellent time management skills;
• Available to commence work immediately;
• Current license and a car as the site cannot be accessed via public transport.
