Brauer Natural Medicine is a progressive, well established manufacturer and marketer of natural medicines that is entering an exciting phase of growth into new natural categories following the rise of the consumer trend towards health and wellness. 

As part of this expansion, Brauer Natural Medicine are planning to increase it’s in-house testing capabilities and will require the services of an experienced HPLC specialist.  The potential role will include selection of suitable equipment, development and validation of methods for analysis of a range of Vitamins in oral suspensions.

As part of the QC team key responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing the HPLC Project, which will include but not be limited to; the selection of a suitable piece of equipment and relevant consumables, an ongoing maintenance and calibration contract, ensuring installation is performed correctly and the validation of the equipment is performed in accordance with TGA and cGMP requirements;
2. Method development for a range of products, predominantly vitamins in a liquid matrix;
3. Ensuring the methods developed are validated in accordance to cGMP and cGLP requirements;
4. Completion of all relevant associated documentation including validation protocols and development of relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Standard Test Methods (STMs);
5. The ability to troubleshoot and root cause any issues faced during the setup, validation and ongoing use of the HPLC;
6. Provide suitable training and coaching of other members of the Quality Control Team.

   To be considered for this position you must:

• Have a BSc in Analytical Chemistry or related field,
• A minimum of 5 years HPLC experience within a regulated laboratory (TGA preferred),
• Experience in method development, validation and troubleshooting,
• Experience in writing and reviewing technical documents,
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills,
• Have a proactive approach, work autonomously and as part of a team and have the ability to work to strict deadlines while maintaining a very high standard of attention to detail.
