CLIENT

Our client is a well known, successful Pharmaceutical company based close to Melbourne's CBD. Due to the success of their innovative products, they continue to grow and excel.

THE ROLE

Our client has a newly created role for a Logistics Officer to be responsible for processing purchase orders, liaising with Freighting companies to transport dangerous goods, providing support to administration, finance and laboratory departments.

Some of the key duties will include:

• Processing orders via MYOB and liaise with suppliers
• Coordinate the dispatching of dangerous goods with freighting companies (experience in this area would be highly advantageous)
• To provide administrative support across major business units
• Maintain database of suppliers

SELECTION CRITERIA

To be successful in your application you will need to meet the following criteria:

• Tertiary qualification in Science or dangerous goods experience.
• Purchasing and sourcing experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry.
• Excellent computer MS office experience in particular WORD and EXCEL.
• Proven track record in supplier liaison.
• Technical/scientific understanding of API's and GMP regulatory environment.
• High quality work standards with a high attention to detail.
• Experience with MYOB is desirable but not essential.
• Effectively able to communicate with suppliers and internal stake holders; and efficiently respond to queries.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills with attention to detail whilst able to multi-task and prioritise.
• Ability to think clearly and logically in a challenging environment as well as trouble shoot and solve technical problems.

This role would suit anyone that is interested in taking a side step from a laboratory role and has a strong understanding of dangerous goods.

You will come with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, ability to multi task and prioritise.
