Asphalt Lab Tech
TWS is seeking a highly skilled, experienced and hardworking Lab Tech who ideally has asphalt industry experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to get your foot in the door with one of the major civil construction companies in Australia and potentially build a long term successful career.
The successful candidate will receive on the job training in a wide variety of technical processes, techniques and quality procedures associated to the asphalt industry. It is important to note that this position is hands on and required someone who enjoys a diverse range of duties and tasks and no two days will be alike!
To be considered for this position we are seeking candidates who close meet the below criteria
- Certificate 3, 4 or Diploma in Laboratory Techniques or Equivalent
- Science Degree in Chemistry, Microbiology or Related - NOT ESSENTIAL
- Previous Experience in a High Volume and Time Sensitive Environment
- Excellent Attention to Detail, Communication and Second to None Organisational Skills
- Understanding of Good Laboratory Practices
- Experience preparing and analysing asphalt samples on and off site as required
- Great Team Player – Able to Work as Part of a Team Towards a Common Goal
- Highly Reliable, Responsible and Trustworthy
- Hard Working, Can DO Attitude and a Willingness to Push to Get The Job Done
- Easy Going Attitude and Able to Get Along With Others Easily
- Highly Computer Literate
- Able to Work Flexible Hours Including Shift Work and Away Work as Required (Overtime, Travel, Accommodation and LAHA Provided)
On offer to the successful candidate is ongoing work with the look to move to permanent fulltime in future should you prove to have ongoing suitability for the position. Hourly rates are negotiable and based on skill and experience level.
