- Full Time or Part Time (3 days/week minimum)
Biomedical Research Victoria (BioMedVic), the premier voice for linking health and medical research to clinical care in Victoria, is seeking an Engagement Manager for an immediate start.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual, with relevant experience and qualifications, to play an important role in the delivery of Biomedical Research Victoria's engagement initiatives to build better links across the biomedical research community.
Your brief is to:
- Successfully deliver BioMedVic’s flagship education and training scheme, the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) including custom-matching students to projects, management of key events and overseeing administrative support to students and supervisors
- Coordinate activities in support of the Victorian Clinician Researcher Network (VCRN)
- Maintain and develop BioMedVic’s communications platforms, including its website, publications, newsletters and social media
- Provide a central point for communication between project stakeholders
- Act as an ambassador for BioMedVic by promoting its initiatives and their benefits to existing and potential new project participants and strategic partners
The successful applicant will:
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and a flair for relationship management
- Appreciate the factors that determine successful student placement
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess the ability to focus on task completion and demonstrate strong attention to detail
- Be flexible, enthusiastic and capable of showing initiative
- Be equally comfortable working autonomously and interacting with people at all levels
