The Opportunity – Exploration Field Assistant
Based on site, The Exploration Field Assistant is responsible for providing field support for all stages of exploration. Their focus is on maintaining continuity of drilling and seismic operations and ensuring high quality of site preparation, installation of instrumentation, monitoring, borehole sealing and rehabilitation and other reasonable tasks as requested by the Exploration Supervisor.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Ensure safe operations of exploration fieldwork in accordance with the relevant standards and operating procedures;
- Site and track prep and rehabilitation.
- Acquisition of Seismic surveys
- Borehole instrumentation and sealing
- Conduct safety observations and site audits, while promoting a culture of continuous improvement
- Collect and dispatch water samples and borehole data.
- Provide input into production schedules, budgets and plans as well as the improvement of work management processes.
- Assist Exploration Supervisor and Exploration Specialists with day to day tasks associated with daily drilling activities.

- First Aid Training
- Basic Explosives Handling & Security Clearance
- Exposure to borehole monitoring systems
- Ability to work outdoors
- Experience working in mining/drilling environment
- Able to effectively communicate with multidisciplinary teams
- High attention to detail
- Class C Drivers Licence (manual)
