We are seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time (3 days per week) ANZ Regional Property Analyst based in Fitzroy, Melbourne who will be responsible for maintaining and updating Aesop’s global LeaseEagle property database, assisting the collation of supporting data, approval processes, documentation and stakeholder data management. This position contributes to the success of Aesop’s unique retail experience and landscape per the retail portfolio, principles, strategy and values.

The role is initially as 12 months contract role reporting directly into the Regional Retail Design & Development Manager of ANZ and support the ANZ team in the administration and development of Aesop’s retail property portfolio across Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Assist the Regional Retail Design & Development Manager in the negotiation of store relocations, leases, closures, store renewals, expansions and downsizes with regional real estate brokers, landlords, legal partners and vendors.
  • Assist the Regional Retail Development Manager in the identification and assessment of new potential retail premises for network expansion or existing store relocation, in line with the regional strategy.
  • Maintain and act as the owner of the region’s data in and reporting from the global LeaseEagle real estate management platform, including availability of all lease documentation through LeaseEagle.
  • Act as a key contact point to external stakeholders with regards to new negotiations and existing property portfolio
  • Support the Regional Retail Development Manager with the compilation of regular monthly leasing reports, presentations and other information as required.
  • Conduct competitive real estate market analysis for both the retail and cosmetics industries regionally.
  • Assist Commercial Managers with the compilation of proposals for new stores and network optimisation by providing relevant real estate market and portfolio data and analytics as well as broader demographics.
  • Analyse the existing store portfolio as well as new store proposals to ensure real estate KPIs are in line with store segmentation parameters and comparable stores in the same or other markets.

The successful candidate will have experience in the following areas:

  • Excellent organisational skills and a demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage varying stakeholder requirements;
  • Proficiency with MS Office including and LeaseEagle experience would be desirable
  • Ability to build relationships across all levels and organisations;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Commerce, or the equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in regional or global retail company with a diverse and varied portfolio
  • Progressive experience in retail property management
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and proactively identify and escalate issues and process improvements
  • Strategic, broad based knowledge of the retail and property market in Australia and New Zealand with subsequent networks
  • Strong affinity with local culture that are aligned with the Aesop ethos
  • Excellent negotiation skills
