Your new company
A leading South-East hospital has an immediate opening for a temporary maintenance manager, with potential for permanency. They pride themselves on their level of care provided throughout Victoria, based from 3 different campuses.
They ensure that their patients are the focus of everything they do, and with their state of the art facilities, they are able to provide a number of high quality health services across Victoria. They are looking to add someone to their team on a temporary basis, on a contract of 6 months, with the possibility of permanency.
Your new role
• You will be responsible for leading and managing the maintenance team, supervising the technicians on site and ensuring they are carrying out works together.
• You will action all Essential, Reactive, Preventative and Planned Maintenance across the hospital, ensuring it is completed in a safe and timely manner, with minimal disruption.
• You will deliver minor works projects.
• You will respond quickly to a high volume of maintenance calls.
• You will monitor and assess the safety of the workplace, assuring any issues are reported and being resolved.
• You will liaise with external contractors and arrange quotes for the repair of minor works, and follow up until the job has been completed.
• You will manage a maintenance budget and approve contractor quotes.
• You will source and manage contractors.
• You will be ensure plant, facilities and equipment are all within safe working condition.
What you’ll need to succeed
• Demonstrated knowledge of facilities and building management maintenance, with the ability to manage large sites.
• Previous experience in leading and managing a team.
• Demonstrated experience in managing a maintenance budget.
• A good working knowledge of compliance standards and essential services, such as electrical, mechanical etc.
• Strong communication skills, enabling you to effectively converse with colleagues and external contractors.
• Great organisational skills, with the ability to manage high volumes of work and prioritise.
• Strong analytical skills, enabling you to solve problems quickly and meet the needs of the business.
• Previous experience working within a hospital would be highly advantageous
• Must have a Trade Background, Electrical preferred.
