We are looking for a Reservations person to join our small team based in West Melbourne. We operate some 300 rooms. Specialist medium term guesthouse 'corporate' accommodation.
We are looking for a person that is sales orientated, self-driven, hard working, well organized and fun person to fill this position. The culture of this small team is very personal / friendly, fun, light hearted whilst simultaneously hard working and extremely professional.
The successful candidate may have a Hotel, serviced apartment or corporate accommodation background. Alternatively you may have retail or other sales type experience.
Applying your experience to our unique business coupled with your ability to learn quickly and a willingness to gain more knowledge about how our business operates, will ensure a smooth transition of this role into your hands. We are a small team and we always help each other out to make sure the job is done and our guests expectations are fulfilled. Job descriptions are NOT set in concrete.
This role includes but not limited to:
- Internet liaising with prospective guests
- Internet reservations
- Answer incoming phone sales enquiries
- Answer and correspond to email booking enquiries
- Internet Advertising
- Arrange guest shows based on our property manager's schedule.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following:
- Experience required in a similar role or in some kind of sales background (even retail)
- A hotel, motel, serviced apartment, corporate guesthouse, backpacker background
- Computer minimum intermediate level
- Excellent communication skills / command of English language
- Sales demeanor
- Must have drivers license (Candidates with a car will be given preference)
- Professional, punctual and well presented
- Friendly, outgoing personality and a team player.
- Ability to multitask under pressure
- Willing to be a small team player and help out others with whatever is necessary to get the job done (even though that task is not what you do as your every day role.)
