Real Estate - Strategic Advisory Director

You will work on some of the largest and most complex real estate and infrastructure projects in Queensland, share knowledge and skills with an exceptional real estate team and make a positive contribution to helping the business achieve its growth targets. More specifically, you will enable your clients to maximise their property assets, advise them on strategy and development feasibility, as well as manage their acquisitions, divestments and funding requirements.

This is a hands on role that includes the delivery of complex analysis, the preparation of professional reports, business development, and leading a team.

About the Work

Your clients will include domestic and overseas banks, Government, high net worth individuals and family groups, private businesses, publicly listed corporations and not-for-profit organisations. The role will require you to:

• Oversee and/or assist with the development of financial and feasibility models to support business cases
• Undertake detailed development feasibility analysis and sensitivity testing on a range of assumptions
• Conduct site analysis, needs analysis, property services reviews, portfolio reviews, highest and best use analysis and options analysis
• Support decisions in relation to the master planning of precincts, urban renewal and transit orientated development
• Oversee and/or assist with the preparation of property economic analysis
• Completing due-diligence investigations on a variety of property assets

About You

You will require a sound knowledge of the Australian property market and of matters involving property economics, town planning, development feasibility and project funding.

Ideally, you will have held senior roles in the property space and your attributes will include:

• Previous leadership experience as this role will see you managing small project teams to support the timely delivery of engagements, whilst simultaneously playing a critically valuable mentorship role to the junior team and building capability and supporting their career development
• Strong project management and communications skills, including a track record of delivering outstanding client service in compressed timeframes
• Experience in managing the quality of deliverables and the risk on engagements
• A broad property experience base with some level of exposure to market research and analysis, property economics, development or strategic real estate advisory
• An understanding of property valuation principles
• Strong analysis and financial modelling skills including development feasibility, hypothetical development and DCF
• Ability to write professional and compelling reports to a high standard
• Strong research capability and experience with research tools such as RP data, PDS on-line, etc.
• A professional qualification relevant to the property industry such as business (real estate and development), property economics, property studies or similar
