As the Senior Accountant you will be responsible for the delivery of high quality financial accounting and reporting with a focus on various corporate level entities.

Client Details

My client is a large multi-national, ASX listed organisation based in Sydney's CBD with a leading reputation across Property, Real Estate and Construction.

Description

• Assist with a legal entity project, ensuring all legal documents and approvals are received from across the business.
• Preparation of corporate journal entries to record distributions, returns of capital and intercompany loan transactions.
• Prepare trial balances for legal entities which include operating properties and cleanse of any historical unreconciled balances in these trial balances.
• Accounting and reconciliation for assigned entities.
• Preparation and submission of quarterly and ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with SOX for relevant controls and testing and assisting with internal audit.
• Identify and implement process improvements and system development to increase the efficiency and quality of outputs from the accounting team.
• Preparation and review of technical accounting papers to ensure accounting for transactions.

Profile

• Degree in Accounting or similar qualifications
• Professional Accounting Qualification (CPA / CA)
• Experience in a similar position
• Familiar with statutory reporting, month end accounting, reconciliation, reporting and variance analysis
